I bought Delta faucets from USA and used them in Israel. It worked out well. I used Eastman 1/2 Inch FIP x 3/8 Inch OD Compression Quarter Turn Angle Stop Valves. I used a male to male 1/2"coupler purchased in Israel to screw the stop valves in to the wall. That enabled me to connect all of the faucets without any problem.
I also used Delta Diverter valves for the shower and bathtub.
It seems that 1/2" is too small to fell the difference in thread types and as you get to bigger sizes you feel the difference more between BSP and NPT. I installed a 1" NPT whole house filter using adapters for adapting BSP to NPT. You can buy them on Amazon.

Really helpful post! The way you explained the difference between BSP and NPT standards is very useful for anyone trying DIY plumbing projects. Installing a pressure gauge under the sink might seem simple, but finding the right fittings can be a real challenge — especially without a clear understanding of thread sizes. I’ve faced similar issues while dealing with plumbing and drainage birmingham, where finding compatible parts locally isn’t always easy. Ordering the correct components online, as you suggested, definitely seems like the smart way to go. Thanks for sharing your experience!

In principle, you can run around to hardware stores in Israel, but you'll have to bring the faucet with you and let them try to find something that fits. I doubt that will solve your issue.

I would go for Aliexpress, as it allows finding the needed thingy according to specification. Hopefully.

I bought an amerca Moen 87303SRS faucet and would like to know where to find the adapters to install it in Israel. The faucet connectors are female 3/8". It can be ali express or a store in Israel. Thank you very much in advance.

This was very helpful. So if I have an american faucet with 3/8NPT what do I need to get for Israeli kitchen water pipes?

As mentioned above, the American and European standards are incompatible, so I would definitely look for some kind of adapter. But I'm not a plumber.

Will the threads fit each other?

Also, here in israel a pex 16 piple has pex connectors that slip on to the pipe with a ring, and the other side has a BSP connection. does NTP have something similar? because if it does, i theoretically can order all NTP faucets, interposts, etc for my bathroom using NTP standards from amazon and potentially save a whole bunch of money.

no, this is not ridiculous. Thank you for clarifying that BSP is the Israeli standards. There is not a lot of information online about this.

All of this is ridiculous! If you need plumbing connections just use a vertical bar. Very simple.

That aside. It was very useful to learn that Israel is all BSP. I need to order a temperature control valve for my mother-in-law's shower in Jerusalem. And it was very helpful learn it's all BSP. Thank you!

And i wish i read this earlier about the 20 turns of teflon. I tried to fix a Junkers heating radiator in Israel and erroneously figured 5 turns was more than enough (well it is in the States - and because of the tapered thread too much teflon and things just don't fit nicely). Well, when 5 failed, i tried 7, then 10, then 12 because 10 was just a tiny leak. And those radiator parts (why are there so many of them?) are a pain to reconstruct... 4 times!

Thank you... from now on, 20 turns.

Meanwhile, it's the Siemans main circuit breaker - that keeps tripping and resetting all my Pies and esp32s. Oh, how i miss Home Depot (and snow, ok so i'm nuts)... but i'm learning!
