I am getting hit with this same problem now. The SSL cert never worked. I could not get help from them as to why it did not work.

They auto-enrolled me in eSigning and monitoring.

I have contacted them many times, and they are not helping me. They keep redirecting me to another team, which never responds.

They send me emails with text saying "Thank you for confirming that the SSL cert worked. Closing this ticket". My SSL IV cert never worked, and I never told them that.

Their website claims a refund within 30 days. I am well within 30 days and have been informed that I will not get a refund. I am battling with them to at least not auto-renew me for next year, and not add extra charges.

ssl.com is a scam.

Besides cancelling my credit card, has anybody figured out how to get them to stop?

My experience is the same. Fraud and greed by Ssl.com.
overpriced, they can be as there are only 4 options to get yr cert. Their website looks from 1996, cannot find anything, and service is pathetic. now they added AI which doesnt work.
1.) first stated they cannot ship to my Eu country. Gave another address.
2.) 3 weeks later I contacted Ssl to learn that they did NOT ship, but now can ship to my home country ;-)
3.) 3 days after that, emails that I must authenticate again.
4.) many AI emails in support case
5.) A homo sapiens says all is good
6.) 2 months later got my shipment, more dramas and fees at customs. Ssl included full invoice, not just dongle price to max my tax. thanks.
7) Ssl charges monthly for esigner, never added Esigner, also Support makes confusing statements so u dont cancel. After being burned 3 years ago, they refused refund, I locked my Wise ecard.

How SSL can be a TRUSTED CA, is mind boggling.

Two years ago, I purchased an SSL certificate from them and got hit with the same $14.99 monthly charges that were not authorized. I called them, told them I didn't authorize those charges, and got them refunded. I disabled the "Health checks" and went on my merry way. 2 years go by with no issue, and my certificate is getting ready to expire. They start sending me notifications about it, which reminded me to double check the account and make sure they weren't going to try and auto-renew it (I had since shifted to a different cert provider). Less than a week after I cancelled the auto-renewal for the certificate, those same $14.99 health check charges started showing up on my account again.

Words cannot adequately express the abject rage I felt seeing that company's name show up on my billing statement. I've decided to go straight to the credit card company this time. I hope that company rots in hell for their blatant theft and awful website that doesn't even let you remove prior billing options.

Just noticed the same BS $34.99 charge start showing up on my bank card. I didn't authorize it, so I tried to sign into ssl.com to get it fixed. Apparently my account isn't authorized to log in, even after a password reset. These credentials worked when I bought the certificate. So I had to call my bank and dispute the charge.

it's total BS. For the monitoring service its auto-opted in when you submit a csr. it wasn't until recently they added a pricing link next to it to at least give the semblance of trying to be fair.

I bought an SSL certificate from them in 2022, but it didn't work for me so they refunded me.

Then in February they started charging me $34.99 a month for SSL monitoring with no notification. I can be forgetful, but there is absolutely no chance I would authorize $35/month for site monitoring. I've disputed the charges.

I think they're really taking advantage of their name just looking legit. "Oh, ssl.com. That must be for my cert."

I was hit with the exact same scam. ssl.com use dodgy practices to charge your credit card with unauthorised and unexpected transactions. This time they are telling me I cannot get a refund.

Frankly speaking, I don't remember how I identified my Yubikey dongle, but I'm quite positive it's what I linked at. Not that it really matters: Either way, if someone wants to buy the dongle separately, it's necessary to check with ssl.com in advance.

The YUBIKEY to which you linked doesn't support FIPS 140-2. From the documentation it seems the more expensive model 5 FIPS would be required.
